Marx-Dems’ Performative Strategy Ain’t Workin’ but It’s Kinda Funny
But also kinda not funny because they think they're serious

I hear the word “performative” a lot lately, referring to the Marx-Dems’ less than masterful political theater. It seems everything is a performance with them. They can’t seem to sing a word without someone coming up with a video of them saying the opposite. There were their adorable little pickleball paddle signs at President Donald Trump’s recent joint session of Congress speech.
These folks are so brilliant that no one told them (and they hadn’t realized) that people in the social media universe would have a field day replacing the Reps’ lame messages with humorous, mocking messaging. And that’s precisely what happened.
A New York Post headline proclaimed: “Democrats mercilessly mocked for protesting Trump speech with paddles: ‘It is giving bingo!’”
It was all a performance (astroturf, I think the Marx-Dems call it) and appears to have been one of the most disruptive, disrespectful displays in U.S. congressional history (well, I suppose, aside from when one Rep savagely beat another Rep with his cane—though, this did involve a Rep with a cane).
Rep Al Green’s bratty behavior was bad enough that he got his ass censured by the House. Not that he was repentant, as, for the Marx-Dems, there are no more norms to be respected.
His performance got him ejected from the event and then rebuked in the well of the House. But that only provoked another performative flurry when several fellow Dems joined him for an ear-rending rendition of, We Shall Overcome.
But, as the new FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said, what do they want to “overcome?” Overcome the closed border that House Minority Leader Hakim Jefferies just noted the other day that Democrats supposedly support. Overcome DOGE finding waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal bureaucracies? Overcome peace on the horizon for Ukraine and Russia?
Maybe it’s just that they shall overcome losing so badly in the last election and overcome how poorly they’ve been behaving ever since. Flailing in public with the most ridiculous performances combined with their penchant for singing—badly. The Marx Dems regularly seem to cluster at some event before inevitably bursting into a song reminiscent of the 1960s Hippie culture.
Then there’s the woman with the thick accent bemoaning that Elon Musk has only been a U.S. citizen for 22 years (Okay, I admit it. I don’t get her point). I thought they’d never seen an immigrant—legal or illegal—who they didn’t adore, even the criminals.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said as much during her recent performance before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Continuing with the performative strategy the Marx-Dems have adopted, there’s the performance in Chicago. Activists are trying to make people believe that ICE is entering public schools and ripping their peaceful, non-criminal parents away from their kids.
As with other left-wing luminaries, unjustly beatified by the Marx-Dem mob, Francisco Andrade-Berrera is one of the Left’s newest “victims.” It’s not that he’s even the worst illegal alien criminal I’ve heard of, but he’s still a convicted felon who is in the country illegally “with ties to a violent gang.”
A mob rallied outside a Chicago Public Schools facility, with Chicago Alderman Bryon Sigcho Lopez leading the cast of lefty loonies. He described “parents… being grabbed from our schools…,” which did not happen. The Left continually lies about this.
According to a former police chief, “There hasn’t been one single case in the United States where ICE has gone into a school and removed somebody forcibly from the school. That is completely false.”
Despite the chief correcting the record and the suspect having been arrested “near a Southside Chicago school…,” rally they did in support of a criminal illegal alien—even by the Left’s definition.
One more time: This stems from the performative cries of “families being separated.” For the last time, I hope, I and every other person who is or has been a cop has “separated a family.”
For example, I’ve pulled over drivers who happen to have felony arrest warrants. Even if they’re cooperative, the parent is off to the grey-bar motel for an outstanding felony warrant (separated from his or her family).
And, just as with ICE agents making arrests, it’s not the law enforcement officers’ fault. They’re simply enforcing existing laws passed by Congress. It’s the parent who committed the crime and likely failed to show up for court, that got them a warrant.
The Left likes to start the story in the middle, carving out the inconvenient parts that don’t fit their preferred narrative. Please, don’t buy into the extremist leftists’ theatrics, whether done by holding ping-pong paddle signs aloft in Congress or, way worse, by singing.
